I wanted to let visitors know that in Wendy's name and spirit and with the support of Gene and Karen, I will attend the Brady Campaign/Million Mom March in Washington, DC and the "Blacklist Ball" in support of responsible gun laws over Mother's Day weekend. Then I will "lobby" on Monday at the Capitol and share our experience and loss as part of the efforts to force the ban on assult weapons to be brought for a renewal vote in the fall. Currently, the bill will sundown and while President Bush has said he will support it -- Tom DeLay has said he won't bring it up for a vote. This is one of the areas I am trying to work in with the hope that fewer people will share our experience. We are very much hoping to build the Wendy Arts Foundation in order to help people to achieve their dreams. Hopefully, we will find ways to raise funds and identify grants for this purpose. While Wendy's loss is ever-present -- her spirit keeps pushing me towards a path I never expected to follow. Any ideas, support or advice will always be appreciated. Wendy often said she would not go quietly into the night and with your memories -- she will not! Hugs to all who visit here! Beth
