Tonight, I went to the alley behind Cox to hang a sign, and there were two women peering into the cemetary. I offered to let them in and they asked me about the historical marker, the new fence, and Wendy's story. I told them about her, and the trials, and the newspaper article in today's Metropolitan section. When they left, they resolved to get a copy, and expressed gratitude that the cemetary was being looked after so well, and offered their condolences. Then I asked a male jogger for help drilling the sign, and he too asked about Wendy. It means a lot to me that mere strangers are so moved and affected by her story. Just thought I'd share! xo
