Again with me being very bad at the updates.  But I do have a new website for you to check out - www.karensolterophotography.com.  Pass it on.  Yep, now I'm a photographer too.  Because I love to multitask.  So that new activity is keeping me busy, among other exciting things.  And the only other thing I have to say right now is that I'm ready for some fall weather, being that it's October.  Not the easiest month in my world, but what can you do.  I am as always, so thankful for the friends I have around me - the ones who have been there for years and the new ones I am just getting to know.  You guys are the best!

Wow.  So we now know that I am really bad at updating my website.  I won't even try to write about the entire last year.  I'll just tell you to go check out the website for my jewelry.  www.bleubutterfly.com.  It won't be fully up and running for a bit yet, but you will be able to see and order my custom made designs.  On that note, I'd better work on that website so there will be something for you to see.

On what I hope is a brighter note as well as a positive symbol of this great country, I have some exciting news to share.  I have been selected as a Torchbearer for the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.  The Torchbearer committee requested nominations for people that have served as an inspiration to others.  I nominated my sister, Wendy, and asked that I could run in her memory.  I'm sure you all know that she was not only a shining light in my life, but a wondrous and unpredictable source of inspiration to many.  I will be carrying the torch somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area on either January 18th or 19th, 2002.  I find it fitting that it falls so near to Wendy's birthday.  When I know the exact date and location (about three weeks prior to the event), I will post it here.  I hope some of you can come.

I know I am only one of many who are shocked and saddened by the events of September 11.  I want to make it known that I feel tremendous empathy for each and every person who lost someone special.  Now is a time to appreciate the loved ones in our lives.  We are lucky to have every family member, loved one and friend that we can still put our arms around and tell them how much they mean to us.

I don't have too much to report.  I added the play reviews for The Ultimate Milkshake.  There is a rough cut for The Adventures of Avalon.  I've seen the first scene, and it looks great.  Keep checking back.  Hopefully I will have more exciting news soon!
